Ups and Downs

This week seems to have gone by so fast! Work has been hectic and stressful but at the same time, I am glad I have a job I like for the most part. It has been HOT outside earlier in the week and wonderfully cool today. We have had storms (the tornadoes missed us again!) and sunshine. We watched the shuttle launch, which was pretty neat because Crissy's sister was there and called us so we could hear it while we were watching it online. Crissy turned 30! We bought her the Vera Bradley pattern that she was wanting(I also got one as well), although not in the style that she wanted because no one has it and we can't even find it online. It was so crazy when she opened it. She was just taking her dear sweet time and then when she opened the box, she screamed, and then started crying! It was so sweet! We also decorated her desk, although she was out on her actual birthday because Macee was sick.

The insane weather on Tuesday meant that I had to drive the POS to work since it doesn't have air and Matt had appointments all day that day. There is no way he could drive around in that weather with no air in a shirt and tie. So, I leave work and the tire is FLAT! This tire sucks - I can't believe we are still driving on it. It is split down as far as it can go. So I finally decided we ARE getting a new vehicle for Matt. Something dependable and with air! Last night, we went shopping and got him a 2000 Jimmy - dark blue. We love it!

I also get to see Greg tomorrow - which I am happy about. And I have to weigh in for the weekly weight loss challenge at work - which I am not!

And my mom called this morning to tell me that Tony (the father and my sister's ex) has filed for custody of the boys (my nephews Andrew & Mark - below) - which I am pissed about because they have been with mom for the last 5 years - and they are only 6 & 7. They were removed from their parents due to neglect and mom stepped in and fought so hard to get custody of them and make sure they wouldn't end up in foster care. And now he is only doing this really because of his new wife. Ugh! We will see what happens!
