Life Changes

We learned yesterday that Scott (our old roommate, well Matt's old college roommate and then I moved in with them) and Sarah got engaged recently. I am so happy for them. They really compliment each other well. Congratulations guys!

Also, we are planning on a Sept. 17th party at the Mock's for Tyson who is going to Togo, Africa for the Peace Corps. He leaves on Sept. 22nd for two years and some odd months. We will be sad not to have him at our wedding. We are glad though that he is a person that can do this - and it seems to fit Tyson perfectly. And thank goodness it all worked out for him because it seemed like he had to jump through a million hoops. Congratulations Tyson - We will miss you!

Also, the dilema with the boys. Ugh! Andrew had cried and cried and told Tony that he didn't want to go live with him and that he wanted to stay with grandma. Tony then told him that was fine, that they could stay with grandma and then when Andrew was in the 6th grade, they would re-evaluate the situation. Andrew would be old enough at that time to legally say what he wanted as well. Then not two days later, Tony gave mom papers saying that he was proceeding with the custody to be effective next summer. She is so mad because he lied to Andrew like that. I feel bad for Andrew. So now, they are going to battle it out in court. Who knows what will happen but I wish that Tony would just back off and leave the boys alone. They have been with Mom & Matt for so long now that they don't know any different. Andrew has some repressed memories from when he lived with his parents and they are not good. He gets really angry. He does not need to be put in a situation where those memories are going to be brought out more and completely change who he is. This would not be a good move for either of the boys at all - but Tony & Crystal aren't thinking about that. Hopefully court will take forever and Tony will get sick of it all. We can only cross our fingers right now.
