Progress
Slowly but surely...
Matt finally caved and went to a chiropractor early last week. This was a HUGE step for him as he doesn't care for doctors in general and had never been to a chiropractor before. However, the medicine that was prescribed for him did nothing! That is because apparently he has a bulging disc between L5 and S1 that is causing his sciatic nerve to be pinched. They were able to get him some relief with electric stim. therapy and the use of the traction table. He went 4 times last week, twice this week and is due to go back twice next week. They instructed him to not sit at all for that first week - which was a bit challenging. This week is better though - he is
able to drive and go back to work so that is nice. I think just getting back into the normal routine is good and helps get his mind off of it a little. It will be great to have him back to 100%. I'm definitely not used to a defeated Matt - that is not like him at all!
Class was crazy for me last week. Somehow I managed to end up with all four tests the same week. I thought sure enough I was going to bomb at least one but ended up (through divine intervention is my only explanation) getting A's on them all. That was such a huge relief! Now I just have a month left until my break for a few weeks. I am so ready for that! Matt and I are thinking of trying to get away for a few days then. I really hope that we do because I need the relaxation after this crazy semester.
