27 Weeks

I HATE this picture but am posting it anyway since it was the one taken today.

How Far Along: 27 weeks
Size of baby: head of cauliflower ~ 14.5 inches, 2 pounds
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +12 lbs...I know it definitely could be more at this point - and will be more in the weeks to come - but I feel like my body can't handle more.
Maternity Clothes: Yep - but have noticed that the pants still aren't fitting correctly without the beband - maybe it's because he's up high
Movement: Definitely! Apparently, he's getting into sleep/wake patterns now (which mostly are different from mine). Matt wonders how he doesn't wake me up at night with as much as he's moving around in there. It's also so weird to be feeling him clear across my belly - a punch down low with a kick up high...just doesn't seem like he should be that big.
Sleep: getting pretty decent again. The desire to nap is definitely coming back. I've been knocked out once I am asleep again - with vivid odd dreams too (to the point where I don't know where I'm actually at when I first wake up)
Symptoms: Feeling like my lungs are being compressed to the size of grapes when I eat anything bigger than a grape. I see very many small frequent meals in the future (dinner at St. Elmo's this weekend may be interesting). Bending over is starting to become a challenge slowly. Also, swelling in the evening...my rings found their way to my necklace today :(
What I miss: Being able to eat a normal meal and being able to breathe. I know he's definitely worth it though.
Cravings: Sweets and carbs
Best Moment this week: (or since last update) Passed my 1 hour glucose test - do not have to do the dreaded 3 hour now. Found out I'm actually not anemic thankfully. Making his book sling. Getting ready to paint his room and preparing for a baby shower. Lots of things to do in just a few more months.

Also, prayers needed for my friend Lisa and her little guy Jackson. Lisa is currently 24w1d pregnant with her first baby and has been in the hospital for the last week due to premature labor, dilation, bulging membranes....all the not good stuff at this point in a pregnancy. She's been a trooper but is definitely worried.
