Babies!

This was the weekend for babies apparently. Both my sister, Mel, and best friend, Sarah, weren't due with their little girls until the end of the month. However, both little girls were welcomed into the world this weekend :)

Isabella May - my new niece - arrived Saturday (1/8) I've yet to meet her but can't wait to see her cute little face in person.

Cora Eloise Elizabeth arrived very early Sunday (1/9) morning. I thought for certain they'd both be born on Saturday but Cora had some different plans. She wanted her own day :) I spent most of Saturday at the hospital with Sarah and family. It definitely opened my eyes to how labor can take on a life of its own....no matter how much you want it to work out a certain way, it may not. Sarah was a complete trooper though! After more than 30 hours of labor, and not progressing beyond 5cm (with the epidural only working on one side), Cora arrived beautiful and healthy via c-section. I did get to hold her and stare at her pretty face yesterday. She's so unbelievably content and peaceful. Sarah has been through a long long journey to have this little girl in her arms. I couldn't be more happy for her and Alex!

Also, congratulations to Lauren & Tom on the birth of their little guy, Tanner, this week.
