Date Night
Grandma & Grandpa B were starting to get worried that Hugh may graduate high school before they see him again (apparently, grandparents like to see their grandkids often). Matt informed them that we were at least planning on his 10th Birthday rolling around before they were back ;) Since they insisted, we told them to go ahead and come on down. This gave us a nice chance to go out and have a date night while they got to spend some time with Hugh.
So off Matt & I went for dinner at the Eagle's Nest. It was nice to get out and spend time just the two of us but I definitely missed Hugh and actually decided against a movie so we could get back to our little guy. We're taking baby steps here.
Dinner was VERY good! Matt got the amazing herb crusted prime rib that he did last time.
I decided to switch it up and go with the chicken cordon bleu.
Very good choices! We also went a bit earlier in the evening and that was nice too because we got a different view of the city - though a later dinner is still my top choice there with all of the city lights.
We followed that up with a quick trip to Lowe's and then return to home. It was a good night though....amazing how things change once a kiddo has arrived.

Food looks yummy!
Bravo for taking the time for you and Matt. That is huge. As far as cutting the night early goes....I get it. I still feel that way now. If you felt different I might think something was wrong. You are a good mama! As you said...Baby Steps!
