14 months

I know that I haven't written a monthly letter in while and, honestly, that makes me sad. I love being able to look back at them to see what he was doing at a certain age. Momma needs to kick her butt into gear.

With that said, I also knew that after he turned one year (still having a hard time grasping that he IS a toddler) that I wanted to switch the format of the monthly updates. I think that there are only so many times I can say "you keep growing and continuing to amaze me. I love every.single.stage"

Age: 14 months

Weight: not sure. His one year appointment said he was 23 lbs, 15 oz but that was a little shy of two months ago. We will find out again at his 15 month check-up

Height: Not sure again. See above. He was 32" at his one year appointment.

Size: some 12-18 month but mostly 18-24 month. We tried on a 12 month onsie yesterday and he's just too long. He also just moved up to size 5 shoe. With diapers, size 4 I think. I truly don't remember. We only use disposables when traveling.

Teething: first molar broke through! Bottom right first molar. 5 total teeth now

Hair: in need of another haircut. It's thick and curly and long and blonde and I love it!

Sleeping: eh! Sometimes one nap a day, sometimes two. Totaling 3 hours with either pattern. Sleeps from 7:30/8:00 - 6:15. He's been waking up at least once during the night again recently, sometimes more.

Eating: this is a tricky area. I feel like he barely eats. He is quite the little food beggar though. We learned that he loves the cinnamon applesauce (yep, can handle it now) pouches. He eats toddler meals, whatever we are eating. Loves yogurt and strawberries. Frequently eats egg whites & turkey bacon with daddy for breakfast. Strictly using sippy cups, tolerates whole milk fine

Movement: can't sit still! Especially if he hears the baby gate open. He bolts! Still mostly crawls but is walking a few steps at a time. Loves his push toys. Loves throwing things (balls, food, toys, remotes, anything he can get his hands on). Waves bye-bye, blows kisses, gives kisses and will now even puckers up when you say "I love you"

Milestones: walking! First molar, first horrible diaper rash :(

Favorite toys: any ball that he can throw. Bath crayons. Push toys.

Dislikes: Getting his diaper changed. You'd think it was the end of the world that he had to stop what he was doing to be changed. Having to wait. Car washes and other loud'ish noises (vacuum, hand dryers, car starting, Cora growling). This just developed recently. And not being able to get into the child locked cabinets or shut bathroom.

Loves: daddy! More than anything in the world, "helping" with dishes (which consists of pulling items out of the dishwasher as its being loaded, bath time, splashing in the kiddie pool

Words and Sounds: definitely starting to "talk" a ton more.  He loves to chat!  He's got dada, momma, uh oh, bye-bye mastered.
