16 Months
Age: 16 months
Weight: 26 lbs, 5 oz per the ER scale this morning. Definitely getting heavier to lift
Height:
Size: mostly 18-24 month. He's just so long! Size 5 flip flops but ready to move up to a size 6 for his next shoes that we get. Diapers...I think we still grab size 4. Probably could move up soon but thankfully we don't use them often.

Teething: This has been his main mission. He now has 12 teeth. Buddy keeps busting one through after another. We have all four front upper and lower teeth, upper & lower right side first molars, and upper left side first molar. I'm so glad that we do not remember going through this process and the pain that it must cause.
Hair: again, in need of another haircut. He's had two now already and his hair is crazy. People tell me not to cut his beautiful curls off but they are so odd - mainly in the back and on top of his head, not all over. His hair is thick! and blonde and grows quickly. Yeah, momma may be a little jealous. Honestly, it truly reminds me of Aunt Nellie's hair.
Sleeping: ugh! He's reverted due to sickness and teething. It's been a brutal combination. He just wants held. He wakes several times a night and will bounce right back up if you attempt to put him down, even if he is zonked out. Goober! He fights going to bed but once he gives up the fight, he is generally out quickly. You can clearly tell that he is tired but he just doesn't want to stop. There have been a few nights where we have been blessed with him sleeping through the night but they are sporadic.
Eating: Such a slow and picky eater. He takes his dear sweet time and insists on feeding himself. Thankfully, he's getting whole milk throughout the day so we know that he's getting something in his belly. We have also started him on half a flintstone vitamin a day per the pediatrician. He wants whatever you are eating but only if he is down moving around. Food beggar! Daddy gives into this frequently and drives momma crazy. Crackers, blueberry flavored craisins, string cheese, and eggo waffles are favorites.
Milestones: first ER visit on his 16 month birthday. Thankfully it was pretty uneventful and chalked up to a high temp due to something viral. Destin trip with the Shaw's. Loved playing in the sand, wobbly to walk on, and only wanted in the water if being held by daddy. And yes, the car seat got turned to forward facing. I really wanted to wait until 2 years but he did soooo much better on the drive back from Destin with being able to see and interact better with us.
Favorite toys: Any ball that can be thrown, car ramp from Kristy, leapfrog train, and anything that really isn't a toy but can still be played with....milk jug, cereal box, cord, cats (even though they hate it). Oh, and the sand/water table. For some reason, he is insistent that the sand must be dumped not he ground though and not stay in the table.
Dislikes: being told no or to stop, diaper changes still, being able to see daddy and not be crawling all over him
Loves:baths, daddy, running, sneaking into the bedroom to turn on music and dance, sleeping on his belly
Words and Sounds: I feel like this has exploded. He is really trying to imitate what we say and do. Not sure which are new so I'll just list what we have now: mama, dada, ball, bye bye, uh oh, night night, please, thank you, all done, shoe, and I feel like I'm missing something but it's not coming to me right now.
